The name of this blog is "Ms. Sumner's Math Blog". I really enjoyed it because it takes a variety of math topics and breaks them down and uses them in everyday situations. There are resources throughout the blog and it is easy to read and follow. The blog also incorporates multimedia such as video and audio, which makes †he "boring math" blog much more interesting for everyone. It also incorporates the common core standards, which Wisconsin has adopted for both language arts and mathematics, so it is relevant. I also like the fact that it is updated frequently. I have never even looked at a blog before but I will definitely utilize these for my future classroom education.

Technology in the Classroom
http://www.eschoolnews.com/2011/05/19/free-websites-use-social-networking-tools-to-share-content/?ast=77&astc=7085
This article about using free social network sites like "Sophia" to share content and benefit education. I think this is one of the best tools that technology has to offer the classroom. They always say that two heads are better than one...well millions of educators linked together to share ideas about lesson plans, behavior management tricks and content is amazing! Sometimes teachers get a little stuck in their own way of teaching that they end up losing a lot of students. With the connections that social networks sites offer, teachers can always stay up-to-date on the latest educational news and teaching differentiation.

My Teaching Philosophy
My Autobiography
My name is Tara. I am 27 years old and have a son that is almost two. I first went to college for nursing but now am majoring in early childhood to early adolescence education with a mathematics minor. I work at a childcare center with the school age children. I enjoy reading, music, and watching movies in the winter. When it warms up I enjoy any outdoor activities. I love to go camping and fishing. I always bring a good book to read when I am fishing in case I do not catch anything. I am really excited for this summer because my son will be old enough to go fishing with me. He has been camping since he was four months old.
